replacing the lines is a tricky not impossible job BUT requires more than a little basic knowledge, such as bleeding the brakes after you replace the line. The lines are available by different lengths and sold in most automotive supply stores. I don't recommend that you try this without some help, and I'm not saying that because you're female, it is a very large safety issue without help. good luckHow to change metal brake lines on a 1996 chevy blazer?
ok dear here is what to do ! i did it on my car too. what i did was i just unhooked the old line at the master cylinder and back to the the wheel cylinders then i measured how many feet i needed and ran the new line right beside the old line but you can take the old line out if you want to , then i bent the line as i went and hooked it up to to master cylinder and back to the wheel cylinder. then i bled the brakes. How to change metal brake lines on a 1996 chevy blazer?
Thats a common problem in Chevys. It takes an experienced mechanic a long time to make the repair because usually there is more than one line to be replaced, and also sometimes the wheel cylinders and calipers have frozen bleed screws so those cylinders and calipers may need to be replaced too. Save your pennies and good luck!
