That sounds about right for now adays prices...I would call Midas or Meineke, they do all those things and usually offer a better price, only thing is on the breaks they use really cheap ones I would ask for Ceramic Breaks if you can afford it they usually only cost $20.00 more and they last longer put out less dust and just generally work better than the cheap ones, unlessw you plan on selling the car in the next six months. How much would these repairs cost for a 2000 honda civic?
Thats a little higher than average. But like someone else said, $300 would be more realistic, especially for a shop that does brakes all day. It's an easy task for them. And your car is actually simple enough already to work on brakes. You should look into doing it yourself if youre capable. And the transmission fluid change is just that, draining the old fluid, putting the new fluid in. The tie rod is simple as well, remove a cotter pin, and a castle nut, unscrewing the tie rod, and installing in reverse order. Then the alignment will be from $50-$100 depending on where you go. If you have a firestone, go there. They have a great deal, it's lifetime alignment for the time you own your car. It runs $129-$179, but you will never have to pay for alignment again as long as you own your car. Its a great deal though. But do a little calling around and find a few different places and go with the best (not cheapest). Dont just look at price. You dont wanna pay $50 for a $300 and be driving down the freeway and your brakes fail. Find a reputable repair shop and try to work a good deal out with them. Most privately owned shops will work with you a better price. How much would these repairs cost for a 2000 honda civic?
Well you must need a complete front brake job if the cost is that high.If you went to the dealer for your brakes that too is possible. Also if you live in one of the northern states. Down here in Arkansas the average cost for a complete front brake job...to wit ...Brake pads new rotors new calipers Bleed and flush complete brake system...Cost around $300.00 The outer tie rod cost is not much but the alignment 4 wheels is around $80.00a transmission drain and fill...By the way that Honda has a drain plug on the transmission just like the oil pan on the engine. Make sure they drain the RIGHT fluid!! that cost around $30.00For better results and gas mileage switch to SYNTHETIC oil. It doesn%26quot;t burn.Brake parts Recommend WAGNER BRAND.
