1992 Chevy Lumina Brake Caliper Spring Line?

okay i need to change out my brake caliper because the caliper piston would not go all the way back in the caliper... so i disconnected 2 lines only one for the brake fluid and the other im assuming is the acctuall brake line? right? well matters not im putting back the way it was but i noticed on my new brake caliper the only way to get back on is to move the spring down so i can get it on the caliper but i dont see how that can happen ive already cut myself 4 times with a flathead screw driver trying to pry the spring down so i can put the line in... note:the spring is OVER a line and that line is the one that goes into the caliper, the slide in spot is not big enough for the spring and if it was it would defeat its purpose as brakes so any help on how i can do this without me getting cut anymore any help is appreciated and no dumb comments im learning about this stuff thanks1992 Chevy Lumina Brake Caliper Spring Line?
that line is called the ebrake cable, and on that year car with older style calipers the e brake cable is most likely locked up either replace cables or just dont hook it up,your brakes will work fine without it on
