sounds like tour torque converter is shot.

If its a manual, then your clutch is worn, if its an automatic, then your have a severely worn or damaged parking pawl or carrier in the transmission. if manual it must be the parking break is worn out...replace brake pads in park brake unless it has adjustment then tighten it up til it is tight and holds on a hill

Chrysler had a problem with this on a lot of vehicles. Fluid and filter change will not help with this, the parking pawl is worn. If you don't want to fix the trans. its your park pawl, its this little paw shaped thing that grabs onto a tooth on the flexplate and holds on for dear life. when u dont put the emergency brake, all the weight is on that little pawl. so yes it can break, its not a big deal, if you have an emergency break that is
